Learning and Development

Introduction / Program Objective:
Is learning & development all about training program / workshop organized with the help of an external trainer who would not have insights about the organizational processes / systems / culture & above all, the organization's needs?
It's besides that and beyond.
There is a science / method / practices & tools to identify training needs
Learning needs to be reinforced
The methodology for training - be it lectures - work shop - role plays - case studies - will have to be suitable for the organization and the audience
The effectiveness of the training interventions needs to be measured

A scientific approach to identifying Learning Needs is the key to launch the most appropriate Learning & Development initiatives. Such initiatives will give the most ROI for the organization. L & D initiatives not only involve a lot of financial investment but also a lot of time and effort. And if these initiatives do not serve the purpose, it can lead to not only a huge waste of resources but also disillusionment and disengagement as far the L & D efforts of organizations are concerned, for both the employees as well as the organization.

There is a lot more to Learning & Development than just 'Training', which even 'Learning Experts' are unaware of or have not had the opportunity of practising.

The objective of our module on 'LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT' is to provide complete conceptual clarity and demonstrate ways to implement / deploy best practices within Learning & Development and all that it entails.

You get insights about and learn from the decades of corporate experiences and best practices across the world brought to you by PEOPLEPLUS®, research and academic inputs by MET and the whole world of 'Learning & Development systems' by SHL - aided by the team at the Human Capital magazine. SHL, global leaders in Talent Assessment, will contribute to the development and delivery of modules relating to Individual Development (Developing IDPs), Leadership Development and Assessment & Development Centres for L & D and will certify participation of students who complete these sub-modules successfully.

SHL will contribute to the development and delivery of modules relating to Individual Development (Developing IDPs), Leadership Development and Assessment & Development Centres for L & D and will certify participation of students who complete these sub-modules.
